Meet Lily (EST. DOB: 3.16.23) She is naturally shy, but she can’t resist gentle humans and pets. Once you get to know her, she will happily approach you. While it may take time for you to earn her trust, she will engage and loves to be petted. She is typically skittish around sudden moves, but she does relax when she feels comfortable and safe for this reason she would be best matched for a calm, adult only household. The foster says her best advice when first introducing her to a new home and new people is to sit on a small stool when feeding her. Be still and gradually make contact. She is very cooperative when wet cat food is offered. She just needs someone who is willing to give her lots of time to adjust and bond with you. Getting adjusted to a new environment and new people all at once can be very scary. Someone experienced with shy kitties would be ideal. You may experience some hisses with Lily in her new environment when she’s scared but she doesn’t mean anything by it. She’s looking for someone who is ok with a shy girl and will give her lots of love, time, and affection while she learns you are her new best friend.
